Mindful Conversations;
A Suicide Prevention Training for Parents & Caregivers in the QPR model.
QPR (Question. Persuade. Refer) is a national program dedicated to saving lives and reducing suicidal behaviors through practical, innovative, and proven suicide prevention training.
Mindful Conversations is an essential training, led by Well-Bean therapists, designed to help parents and caregivers recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and learn how to effectively question, persuade, and refer someone to the help they need.
In this training, you will:
- Identify the warning signs of suicide
- Learn how to offer hope
- Understand how to get help
Our goal is to create a supportive and welcoming environment where we can address this sensitive topic together. TEACHERS
Kris Faber, LMSW brings over 25 years of experience working with youth in mental health as a school social worker. Her dedication to empowering parents and caregivers through QPR training reflects her commitment to compassionate, expert guidance on this critical topic. Kris’s warm demeanor and clinical expertise ensure a supportive and effective training experience.
Jen Rapanos, LMSW is dedicated to addressing mental health stigma by developing programs that support the minds, bodies, and spirits of youth and their caregivers. As a licensed therapist with over two decades of experience in child and adolescent care, Jen integrates extensive trauma training with yoga, mindfulness, and somatic practices. Her holistic perspective will enhance this training by providing deep insights into mental health and practical strategies for support
Heidi Workman, LMSW is a licensed clinical social worker with 15 years of experience as a school social worker and therapist at Well-Bean. Her expertise in guiding children and adolescents through life changes, combined with her empathic listening and calming presence, will greatly enhance this training, ensuring it is both insightful and supportive
