SESSION RATES
45-Minute Individual Therapy Sessions: $150/session
These regularly scheduled sessions focus on supporting your child or adolescent’s emotional and mental well-being. We work towards specific goals that are tailored to your child's unique needs. Sessions may include both the child/adolescent alone or, when helpful, involve parents. To maintain consistency and progress, sessions are scheduled on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. The structure of these sessions is flexible, ensuring that the care provided aligns with your child's growth and development.
60-Minute Parent Consultation Sessions: $200/session
Parent Consultation sessions are dedicated solely to supporting you as a parent or caregiver. Unlike individual therapy, these sessions do not involve a specific client. Instead, they offer personalized support, insight and guidance on parenting challenges, behavioral concerns, and strategies for fostering your child's development. During these one-on-one sessions, we’ll work together to explore strategies that promote your child’s well-being, including self-regulation techniques and adjusting approaches and environmental supports to foster growth. These sessions are about expanding your parenting village and equipping you with practical tools for your parenting journey. We invite you to reach out and schedule a session. Let's connect, grab a cup of tea, and navigate the joys and challenges of parenting together.

OUR APPROACH TO CARE: Why We Choose To Be Insurance-Free
While many therapists in private practice choose to work with insurance, there’s a growing trend of moving away from this model. At Well-Bean, we’ve chosen this path to prioritize the care and support our clients deserve.
Insurance companies require us to follow specific rules and regulations, which often limit our services to clients with diagnosable mental health conditions deemed medically necessary. Although we do work with children who meet the DSM-5 criteria, many families seek our support for reasons beyond a diagnosis. They come to us for proactive mental health care, to build stress management skills, expand their support network, cope with grief, improve emotional regulation, and navigate social challenges.
Insurance limitations often lead to a focus on diagnosis, which can sometimes pressure unnecessary labeling just to meet coverage requirements. Furthermore, insurance can dictate how services are provided, including session frequency and length, reimbursement rates, and even exposes providers to the stress of audits and clawbacks. These constraints can detract from our primary focus—providing care.
At Well-Bean, our practice integrates a variety of skills and approaches that go beyond traditional therapy methods. While we use foundational techniques like CBT, ACT, and DBT, we also incorporate mind-body approaches rooted in yoga, mindfulness, and somatic therapies—services that are often not covered by insurance but align more authentically with our wellness philosophy, especially for youth.
By stepping away from insurance-driven care, we’re able to stay true to our values and allow our therapists’ expertise to guide our work. This freedom ensures that we can better support the well-being of our clients and families at Well-Bean.
