THE POWER OF PAYING ATTENTION - WISELY (SESSION IS FULL)
Please email us if you'd like to be added to the waitlist or to stay informed about upcoming workshops: [email protected]
So often our minds get stuck focusing on things that are outside of our control. This is particularly true when faced with stress and other strong emotions. The skill of noticing where we place our attention gives us insight into how much energy we might be putting into things that are outside of our control. We gain power when we learn how to focus on what we do have control over, and learn skills that help balance our mind and body for mental and emotional well-being.
The Power of Paying Attention - WISELY is an invitation for tweens and teens ages 11-14 to gather with peers and to learn and grow in ways that support their well-being. Integrating both ancient and modern wisdom & practices, this group experience will include a yoga practice, mindfulness meditation, group conversation, and self-exploration activities.

- We know that it takes courage to try something new so we’re setting the intention to provide a nurturing environment that includes tea (hot & cold) and snacks from one of our favorites, RISE Bakery (GF and DF) that will be waiting for you when you arrive!
- Feeling part of a group and connecting with others even for a night can be meaningful. This is a group experience, so we’ll be working to create a brave space - where everyone belongs and feels welcomed. You get to choose how much (or how little) you participate in conversation throughout the workshop.
- We'll be mixing learning (ideas and concepts) with doing (yoga, meditation & group & individual activity) to create a class that’s mind/body balanced. The yoga practice will be both gentle and playful - set to music (after class we’ll share the curated playlist with you!) The learning will focus on a skill that when practiced frequently can help shape and train the brain for positive mental health.
- Extra considerations: Come in comfortable clothes and consider layers for comfort. Yoga mats are provided.
